Apperian just officially launched their Enterprise App Services Environment, dubbed "EASE". The Company says they are getting out of the app development biz and instead "helping enterprise developers build secure mobile applications that improve company productivity".

Apperian claims that EASE is the first platform that "enables companies to avoid do it yourself enterprise deployment solutions". The Mobile Application Management (MAM) space is heating up as companies start to seriously build in-house "business to employee" apps.

The product supports the newly released iOS 4.2 which enables "over the air" app delivery, and because it supports Apple's iOS Developer Enterprise Program, it does not require apps to be delivered via iTunes. This should make IT staff happy.
