Twitter is a funny thing. 140 characters that can say so much. It can also be misinterpreted rather quickly. Yesterday, thanking everyone for their well wishes. I got more than one person email or DM me asking me what was going on. Some thought I was unwell, some thought I was leaving Strategy Analytics. In fact, I was simply saying thank you to all those who had wished me a happy birthday.
That said, I wanted to share with everyone that next Friday (February 5) is in fact my last day with Strategy Analytics. After almost 15 years in the analyst world, I felt as if it was time for me to hang up my hat. Let me be very clear about
one thing. This is in no way, shape, or form, a reflection on Strategy Analytics. SA is the best research firm I have ever had the pleasure to work at...and the people there are some of the brightest people I have ever worked with.
I'd like to especially thank my boss David Kerr and my colleague Andy Brown. Two incredibly sharp people whom I look forward to crossing paths with again. There are many others at Strategy Analytics - and you know who you are, but it would then become a long, cheezy list. I might as well just list all the people (Awwww.....).
So what's next? I can't tell you...yet. You'll hear about it sooner rather than later. I'll tell you one thing though. The next gig only continues to show the world just how much I think enterprise mobility matters.
